UPDATE: US Figure Skating announced Aaron, Rippon, and Chen as the team to Worlds.

Below is the criteria for the Worlds selection process for everyone who does not win U.S. Nationals, and how Nathan Chen, bronze medalist, and Jason Brown, who petitioned for a spot at Worlds, fare in those criteria. They are in order of importance:

Chen did not have the chance to compete in the Grand Prix this season, since he was only assigned Junior Grand Prix events, all three of which he won. Aaron, having placed second and winning Skate America, will be on the World team. But Brown, who competed earlier this season at Skate America and finished third, will be bolstered by his fourth-place finish at Worlds last year. Selections upcoming.
