Rocker Faves 2014-15: Joshua Farris 2015 US Nationals short

As the 2015-2016 season approaches, some of us are feeling like we need a trip down memory lane, and others of us are feeling a little antsy for skating competition. In the next couple of weeks, I'm bringing you some of my favorites from last season (in no particular order).

What were your favorites of last season? Sound off in the comments section below!

Joshua Farris USA
2015 US Nationals Short Program

I still remember when I was at Nationals and just completely dismissed it when Joshua Farris noted that he had just as good of a chance as anyone else to win the title. Most of that had to do with the completely listless performance we saw from him just two months earlier at 2014 NHK Trophy, when he was still recovering from an early-season injury.

Then I saw this short program, and his practices after, and my tune completely changed. Right before the men's free skate happened, I told Lynn Rutherford and Phil Hersh that Farris was my pick for gold. (Talk about a switcheroo.) Well, a combo invalidation kept him from the gold, but this program and his performances at Nationals, though not flawless, were some of the biggest highlights for me from that competition.

And of course, I love that he's bringing this program back for another season.
